About Us
The Cancer Support Centre was founded in 2000 and became a registered Company and Charity in 2001. A group of six trustees some of whom have been affected by cancer are responsible for the strategic management of the Centre. Our range of 15 complimentary therapies are given by our qualified and insured volunteer therapists a further 27 volunteers who provide a range of skills which ensures the smooth running of the Centre We have two part time staff, currently funded through Volunteering England.
The Centre moved to Station House at the beginning of 2004 and our rent and services have been well supported by Sutton Municipal Charities. However this support will end in 2010 and the Trustees responsible for fund raising are working hard to develop a sustainable income that will allow us to continue to provide a place of sanctuary and support to those affected by the diagnosis of cancer continue.
